Hmm. We're halfway though 2012 and I'm no healthier or leaner than I was two year ago - and likely a few pounds worse.
I buy the magazines and dvds and I try to be conscious of what I eat, but I don't work out and if calories going in are more than calories burned, how the heck is a girl to lose any weight? Hmm?
So where are we? I'm at 175. It's not the heaviest I've ever been, but it's close, and it's not where I want to be. And when I look in the mirror, most times I'm not revolted, but if I see a photo of me, well, I think "Good grief, who is that blimp??"
So let's say I start exercising and writing about it? Would that work? What if, instead of putting my weight and what I eat in an Excel spreadsheet, I blog about it. Maybe that would help a bit?
So...it's 71 days until my birthday... August 24.
My goal weight is 145, but let's not go crazy... What if I lose 15 lbs by that date. I'd be 160 at 39 years of age. I could live with that.
Where would I like to be? 145 or lighter... But 15 lbs in 71 days, and another 15 in another 71 days, and, well, I'd be there... Down 30 lbs in 142 days... not bad. Ha. I haven't started yet.
I see lots of magazine suggestions on how to lose weight - cardio and pilates-like exercise six out of seven days per week. Fine. I'll try that. Prevention magazine had one workout and suggested amazing results in six weeks, so let's do it. For six weeks, I'm going to follow the routine and I'll blog about it and let you know how things are going.
Don't just wish me luck, root for me!! I need it.
J
